Prom night should be a fun and memorable occasion, but it should be a safe occasion as well. Sending your sweet teen off on his or her big night might seem a terrifying thought, especially with all the safety issues that come swirling into your head, and your teen could be but just as nervous as you, but it’s probably not for the same reasons.

Think back to when you were a teen on your prom night. Safety probably wasn’t one of the big worries on your mind. Thoughts about the car you were going to drive, the dress or the tux you were going to wear, where you were going to dinner, and where the after party was going to be were all flowing through your mind, but there probably were many thoughts about safety.
