A Quirky Cheaper Way To Fly
Kulula is South Africa's equivalent of the UK's Easy Jet, except their plane and flights are a lot more entertaining.

Kulula Airline was first established in July 2001 and began their flights a month later, their Head Office is situated in Johannesburg and was setup as a low-fare carrier.

Their comical ways caused them some grief this year when FIFA complained about them describing their airline as the "Unofficial National Carrier of the You-Know-What", which resulted in them removing the offending advertisements.

If you were to book a flight with Kulula Airlines, you will notice their hilarious plane design which very clearly points out parts of the plane, and where the captain sits (more photo's of their plane shown below), along with the fact that there is no assigned seating once you have boarded, which basically means you just sit where you like (this does not include the cockpit).

There have been some brilliant comments made by the flight crew, on one paticular flight the pilot said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants." On another flight a stewardess said over the tanoy whilst the plane was coming in to land "Please be sure to take all of your belongings.. If you're going to leave anything, please make sure it's something we'd like to have."
