The time of me writing this is Valentine’s Day so I thought it might be a good idea to pull together some of the most romantic destinations to travel to in the world.

Paris, France

I actually travelled to Paris with my girlfriend a couple of years ago for a few days and I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The reasons that Paris is often credited as the most or one of the most romantic cities in the world is thanks to hotspots like the Eiffel Tower, the various art museums and the river Seine. If you are planning a trip to Paris I would recommend taking a cruise on the river at sunset, it isn’t expensive and you get to spend roughly an hour just watching the sun go down around the best tourist spots including the Eiffel Tower, Le Louvre and Notre Dame.

Disney World, Florida

This isn’t an option that you would usually put in a romantic travel list but is one of the most romantic destinations you could think about travelling to in the world.  If you are thinking about going to Disney World for a romantic break then make sure you stay at one of the hotels that Disney own because they go out of their way to make your break as romantic as possible. Something else to consider is going on a quieter time of the year so you can take the time to relax and tackle the parks, hand in hand, in your own time.

Aspen, Colorado

Yes it’s the location of the Dumber and Dumber movie and yes it does bring a slight smirk to my fact every time someone mentions the place but this doesn’t mean that it isn’t one of the most romantic locations of the world. The location is a skier’s paradise but it also has some fantastic views in both the Summer and Winter seasons which makes it perfect for walking and hiking too. There are areas that have put a ban on cars which results in horses and sleighs which makes a very romantic trip indeed.
The difficult decision when it comes to Aspen is whether to go during the Summer or Winter!

There is always something going on in the Big Apple and there are so many things that couples can do in this monster of a city. One of the more memorable things that couples come back saying is that they really enjoyed the carriage ride around central park and when speaking to couples that went in the Winter it was all about the Rockefeller Centre for ice skating. Of course other attractions to enjoy together include the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Times Square and of course the seasonal parades of Thanksgiving and St Patricks Day.

These are just four of the best locations to travel to in the world and other include the Bahamas, Guangxi Province and of course the Hayman Island in Australia.

If you have been to any of the above locations or any others that are not mentioned that you have found to be really romantic then do let me know.
